... They should come back. I never did anything to deserve this.

[ the journal flips open, shut, then open again in a matter of moments. shuri's staring straight ahead, not exactly sulking - for once. but not looking entirely happy. ]

No one would have missed him anyway. It's not like his - [ grumble, grumble. shuri waves a hand absently. ] We could trade places~! This sort of place is okay for someone like him, he wouldn't mind at all even if he didn't remember.

[ the chair squeaks as it's tilted back. shuri hums thoughtfully to himself. ] He'd probably even be happy to get away from Uncle... He'd probably be thrilled to be living with people like this, in a place like this, and he wouldn't even care that there are no servants.

[ and suddenly he leans forward, slamming both hands down on the desk. the journal is swept aside, skidding onto the floor. ] Someone like him doesn't even appreciate what he has! It isn't fair that he gets to enjoy it all when he doesn't even want it!

[ there's a long pause. shuri kicks his desk. hard. ] I want to go home.
