If I'm wrong, then prove it. [Mikage doesn't move, watching him, but focusing a portion of his senses on trying to track down Tiashe. Shuri is nothing but a joke.]
[ Shuri grits his teeth and steels himself for the battle ahead. He's not nearly as pathetic as his canon self, matching Mikage blow for blow until he could formulate a decent counterattack.]
[Mikage does notice the difference in skill level; it'd be impossible to miss. Because of this, he steps up and pushes his limitations more and more, focusing on trying to attack the collar - and in the process, Shuri's neck. Whether he strikes a killing blow or manages to damage the collar, it'll be incentive for the slave to stop fighting.
[ There are bruises and cuts everywhere, but he's not in that bad of shape when all things were considered. His neck is bleeding from a few near-misses, his head hurts, and his hands are bloody from how hard he's been clutching that piece of wood.
It's at that moment, beaten and wondering how long it would take for the other to strike a killing blow, that he remembers a key part of Luceti anatomy and what could happen if it was damaged.
If he's fast, he has a shot. The stick is tossed aside and Shuri goes in for one final attack.]
[Enough is enough. Mikage is tired of dealing with this fool - a mere slave, giving him trouble! A slave that was once that pathetic, overemotional, spoiled brat, to boot. Weary of indulging the whims of this idiot and anxious to get back to tracking the Eye, Mikage begins to gather zaiphon in his hands. He'll blast Shuri completely to hell if he has to.]
[He can feel the sudden shift in power. One shot, one shot, that's all he has. He gathers up all his power, springing high into the air. One shot, while he's distracted. One shot.
He twists to the side, angling himself just right - and unleashes a blast of zaiphon at the two feathered wings on the blonde's back.]
[It's a lucky shot. It's the only way Mikage can think to describe it; as soon as Shuri attacks, Mikage modifies and detonates the gathering zaiphon to blast himself to the side, attempting to evade the attack in time. He does, but just barely- and before he can even hope to be in the clear, he feels a burning pain tear through his back, and even he, with all of Ayanami's influence, can't hold back a scream as one of his wings is ripped from his back.
He's never known pain like this - not him, not in this body. Even with all his power, he can't stop himself from staggering and dropping to his knees. How could he have fallen so easily...!?]
[ The normal Shuri would have stayed rooted to the spot once he'd landed, staring in horror at the severed wing laying against the soft green grass. He would have gotten sick, he would have simply waited for someone else to tell him what to do or how to handle it.
This Shuri only walks closer, his hands flaring with energy once more.] I'm not going to deal with this again. [His voice and eyes are absolutely frigid. Another blast heads towards the remaining wing.]
[Enough. Mikage shoves against the ground, twisting away from the second attack and lashing out one hand to create a hasty shield. Between his sluggish movements and the missing wing sapping his strength, he barely has enough to save it.
The zaiphon rips through a chunk of the remaining wing, feathers ripping free and blood spraying, and with a weakened gasp Mikage skids through the dirt, rolling twice before falling limp and breathing hard.]
[And not a trace of remorse or guilt. Shuri surveys the broken man for a moment, moving neither to help him nor to put him out of his misery. Instead, he cancels any remaining power and lifts one hand up to his neck, touching the slick collar briefly before turning away and making his way back to the house.]

Tiashe is getting away. He can't allow it.]
